Housing Solutions Officer

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Housing Options Officer to provide high-quality housing advice and homelessness prevention services. You will work with individuals and families at risk of homelessness, offering early intervention, tailored housing options, and practical solutions to help people secure and sustain suitable accommodation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive housing advice in line with the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017Carry out homelessness assessments and develop Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs)Prevent and relieve homelessness through early intervention and case managementMake statutory decisions and issue notifications in accordance with legislationWork with landlords, housing providers, and partner agencies to secure accommodationManage a caseload effectively, maintaining accurate case recordsSupport vulnerable customers, safeguarding adults and children where requiredAttend court as required, including possession and homelessness-related casesEnsure services are delivered in line with policies, procedures, and performance targetsAbout YouExperience in housing options, homelessness prevention, or a related housing roleStrong knowledge of housing legislation and statutory homelessness dutiesExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage a complex caseload and make sound decisions under pressureStrong IT skills and experience using housing management systemsCommitment ..... full job details .....
