Housing Register and Allocations Manage
We are seeking an experienced and driven Housing Allocations Manager to join a forward-thinking local authority in Berkshire. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of a fair, transparent, and legally compliant housing allocations service. You will manage the allocations team, ensuring that applications for social housing are assessed accurately and in line with current legislation, including the Housing Act and relevant statutory guidance. You will play a central role in reviewing and improving allocations policies, working closely with internal departments and external partners to meet local housing needs and reduce homelessness. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of housing legislation, experience managing complex caseloads, and a track record of leading high-performing teams. Excellent communication and decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
