Housing Options Manager

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Housing Options Manager to work with one of our Local Authority clients. What the Job Will Be Doing Managing and supporting a team of Housing Options and Homelessness Officers. Overseeing homelessness assessments and statutory decisions under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996. Ensuring compliance with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, the Homelessness Code of Guidance and all relevant legislation. Monitoring caseloads, KPIs, service standards and customer outcomes. Providing technical guidance on complex homelessness cases, including eligibility, priority need, intentional homelessness and local connection. Reviewing the quality and accuracy of Section 184 decision letters, Personalised Housing Plans and case records. Managing escalated complaints, legal challenges and high-risk cases. Developing and implementing effective homelessness prevention and relief strategies. Working closely with internal departments, Registered Providers, support agencies and external partners. Supporting the effective use and procurement of temporary accommodation and private rented sector options. Producing performance reports and identifying opportunities for continuous service improvement. Managing staff performance, supervision, training, development and absence management.
