Housing Officer

We are looking for a Housing Officer to join our team. As a Housing Officer, you''ll play a key role in helping residents sustain successful tenancies and thrive in safe, well-maintained communities. Working at the heart of our neighbourhoods, you''ll build strong relationships with residents, provide practical housing advice and support, manage a varied caseload, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and improve outcomes. From tenancy management and safeguarding to neighbourhood improvement and resident wellbeing, you''ll take a proactive, customer-focused approach to delivering excellent housing services and creating communities where people are proud to live. Principal duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct property viewings, working closely with colleagues to minimise void turnaround times and prepare homes for new residents. Manage tenancy enforcement processes, including preparing legal documentation, serving notices and attending court hearings where required. Carry out neighbourhood inspections and lead local initiatives to improve estate standards, resident satisfaction and community wellbeing. Support income recovery by working alongside the Income Team to maximise rent and service charge collection. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including facilitating access for statutory inspections and completing relevant risk assessments and actions.
