We are currently recruiting for a Social housing organisation based in Exeter who are looking for an Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities of the Allocations Officer include:

• Build and maintain proactive, positive relationships with tenants and other customers.
• Deliver a comprehensive, high-performing housing management service to Council tenants and residents in temporary accommodation, including addressing and resolving anti-social behaviour.
• Understand, anticipate, and meet legitimate customer demand within agreed budgets.
• Coordinate the effective use and management of temporary accommodation and properties managed through the Council''s Social Lettings Agency.
• Carry out regular inspections of Council properties and neighbourhoods within a defined area, ensuring a thorough understanding of customer needs and Council assets, and taking appropriate action to address any issues identified.
• Support the Service Lead Housing Customers and Housing Customer Lead in the continuous development and improvement of housing services.

The successful candidate will have:

• A qualification to HNC level in a relevant discipline or substantial proven relevant experience.
• Previous anti-social behaviour management, property inspections, quarterly estate inspection.
• Knowledge of Open Housing.
