Housing Officer

Housing Options Officer Location: Chatham Contract: Temporary (3-6 Months) Pay Rate: £20.70 per hour About the Role Our Client is seeking an experienced Housing Options Officer to join their Housing team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional with experience in homelessness prevention, housing advice, and case management to make a meaningful difference to vulnerable households. You will provide specialist housing advice and support to individuals and families facing homelessness or housing difficulties, helping them identify suitable housing solutions and preventing homelessness wherever possible. This role requires strong case management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide housing advice, guidance, and practical support to individuals and families in housing need. Undertake homelessness assessments and determine appropriate duties and interventions. Work proactively to prevent and relieve homelessness through negotiation, mediation, and support planning.
