Job Title: Housing Liaison Officer

Location: Newham

Rate: -21.91 PAYE hour

Term: Temp, initially 3 months

Mainly on site on the Estates engaging with residents, as well as some anchor days in the office.

Our client, a reputable organisation dedicated to providing excellent resident services, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Housing Liaison Officer to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless connection between residents and housing services, while promoting a safe and compliant living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to resident enquiries through various channels, including in-person, phone, and correspondence.
  • Conduct interviews with residents via phone, in the office, or through home visits as necessary.
  • Provide expert advice on fire safety and housing compliance to ensure residents are well-informed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate resident meetings, forums, and multi-agency site visits, ensuring comprehensive minute-taking.
  • Perform regular inspections of properties to identify and address fire safety hazards promptly.
  • Manage and investigate breaches of lease and tenancy agreements, collaborating with other services and agencies.
  • Support vulnerable residents in sustaining their tenancies and navigating any tenancy breaches.
  • Promote a variety of payment methods and assist residents in accessing financial support.
  • Attend court or tribunal sessions as required, representing the organisation effectively.

Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and a passion for enhancing resident experiences are essential.

Skills:

  • A demonstrable understanding of multi tenure housing management.
  • Specialist knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
  • Fire Safety
  • Tenancy Audit
  • Resident Engagement
  • Housing Compliance
  • Block Management
