Join us as a Housing Interventions Worker, working full-time (35 hours per week) across Gwent. You’ll be based at Torfaen Probation Office in Pontypool, with travel to Caerphilly Probation Office, HMP Usk and HMP Prescoed, supporting men on probation and those preparing for release from custody to access safe, suitable accommodation. What you’ll be doing Delivering 1:1 housing advice and interventions to prevent homelessness and improve housing opportunities. Completing housing needs assessments and developing tailored action plans. Sourcing suitable private rented accommodation, including shared houses, studios and one-bedroom properties. Building relationships with landlords, letting agents, local authorities and housing providers. Supporting clients with tenancy agreements, rent negotiations and referrals to specialist services.
