Housing Income Manager

We are seeking an experienced Housing Income Manager to lead the Council''s rent collection, arrears recovery and wider housing income function. Key responsibilities include: Leading the housing income and rent collection service. Managing current and former tenant arrears and income recovery. Developing strategies to improve collection rates and reduce arrears. Monitoring income, performance, financial risk and bad debt. Leading effective approaches to Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and welfare reform. Working closely with Housing, Finance, Revenues and Benefits, Legal and external partners. Ensuring appropriate consideration of vulnerability and safeguarding. Using data and performance information to drive service improvement. Leading, managing and developing the income management team. Contributing to HRA business planning and the wider financial sustainability of the housing service. The ideal candidate will have strong experience of housing income or rent collection within a local authority or social housing environment, together with excellent financial, analytical, leadership and customer-service skills. ..... full job details .....
