Housing Enforcement Lead

We are currently looking for an experienced Housing Enforcement Lead to provide operational and functional leadership across a Housing and Vulnerability service. The role will take a lead across Private Sector Housing, Renters'' Rights and wider Housing Strategy, combining technical expertise with day-to-day team leadership and responsibility for resolving complex cases. The role offers hybrid working, with 2 days per week working from home.The Role Provide functional leadership across Private Sector Housing, including HHSRS, HMO licensing, Fire Safety in High Rise Dwellings, Asylum Accommodation and Public Health in Housing. Lead on the implementation and enforcement of Renters'' Rights requirements. Provide functional leadership across Housing Strategy, including Homelessness, Temporary Accommodation, Supported Accommodation and Affordable Housing. Provide day-to-day leadership to ensure work processes, standards, performance and regulatory compliance are maintained and continuously improved. Act as the technical lead for Private Sector Housing and Renters'' Rights, personally managing more complex and contentious cases. Provide specialist advice and support to officers dealing with cases of varying complexity. Train, mentor and develop officers to ensure consistently high standards of casework and enforcement.
