Housing Litigation Lawyer - General Housing and Disrepair Location: StockportSalary: per annum Working Pattern: Hybrid / FlexibleRole Type: Permanent CRA Consulting are currently recruiting for a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join the Legal Services team of a Local Authority in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor with experience in housing disrepair and wider housing litigation to take on a varied caseload, working closely with the Council and its Arms'' Length Management Organisation (ALMO). The Role You will manage a personal caseload of housing-related legal matters, with a particular focus on housing disrepair, alongside housing management, anti-social behaviour, allocations and homelessness matters. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a personal caseload of housing litigation matters Handling housing disrepair claims from instruction through to resolution Advising on housing management and landlord and tenant matters Dealing with anti-social behaviour and related enforcement action Drafting claims, pleadings, applications, notices and instructions to Counsel Preparing witness statements and other court documentation Attending and conducting advocacy at courts and tribunals Advising Council and ALMO teams on legal and litigation issues Working closely with housing officers and other internal stakeholders Keeping up to date with developments in housing law and Local Authority practice About You The successful candidate will: Be ..... full job details .....
