Housing Advisor - Band 5 Location: Portadown Office Salary: £16.90 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Duration: Temporary, Full-Time Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm Application Deadline: 5pm 9th October 2026 Apple Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Housing Advisor (Band 5) on behalf of a public sector organisation based at the Portadown Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional to provide housing advice and support, carry out housing and homelessness assessments, manage a caseload and work closely with customers and other stakeholders. Key Duties Carry out housing and homelessness assessments in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. Manage an allocated caseload and ensure cases are progressed appropriately. Undertake reassessments where required. Respond to customer enquiries and telephone calls in a professional and timely manner. Provide appropriate housing advice, information and support to customers. Prepare and respond to MLA enquiries. Represent the organisation at relevant meetings. Work effectively with colleagues, partner organisations and other professional services. Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders, including in challenging situations. Manage and prioritise workload effectively to ensure customer needs are addressed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case information.
