Rate: -30 per hour (Umbrella)

A West London Local Authority is seeking an Interim Housing Advice & Homeless Prevention Officer to support resettlement schemes, including British citizens arriving from overseas territories such as The Chagos Islands.
The Role

• Provide housing options advice on tenure, low-cost home ownership, and homelessness prevention.
• Carry out statutory homelessness assessments and manage a varied caseload.
• Support individuals and families with move-on options, referrals, and signposting to services.
• Work alongside the resettlement support team at the Civic Centre.

• Experience in housing advice and homelessness prevention.
• Skilled in casework and use of housing case management systems.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, allocations, and choice-based lettings.
• Confident in interviewing, assessing, and supporting clients in need.
