This is a vital 2-month temporary contract, but for the right person, it could open the door to a permanent career opportunity!The Role: What You ll Do As our Head of Department, you won t just sit behind a desk. You will be the driving force behind a large, diverse cleaning operation. Lead and Inspire: Manage, motivate, and train a large team of cleaners and supervisors, ensuring morale and standards stay high. Operations and Quality Control: Allocate workloads, manage agency staff/contract cleaning companies, and run quality assurance checks to keep the campus pristine. Safety First: Take ownership of COSHH, risk assessments, manual handling, and crucial HandS practices (like Legionella flushing records). Budgeting and Procurement: Oversee the housekeeping budget and handle the procurement of all materials and equipment.
