About the Role
Pertemps Newcastle is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant/ Cleaner to join Northumbrian Water’s team in Kielder. This full-time, temporary contract offers £13.45 per hour for up to 37 hours weekly. You will deliver essential cleaning services across visitor accommodation, restaurants, retail outlets, public toilets, changing rooms, and communal areas. Responsibilities include performing scheduled and reactive housekeeping tasks, supporting team work programmes, monitoring standards through regular inspections, and upholding health & safety requirements. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces while working independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in commercial cleaning is advantageous.

What You’ll Do
- Carry out scheduled and reactive housekeeping task
- Support departmental objectives and team work programmes
- Monitor and report through regular inspection programmes
- Maintain high standards of health & safety for yourself, colleagues, and the public
- Operate equipment and systems effectively to support service delivery
- Uphold the company’s “House style” for cleaning and asset maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service and take pride in representing Northumbrian Water
- Be flexible and willing to take on reasonable additional tasks to support wider business objectives
