About the Role

Pertemps Reading seeks a Housekeeper in Oxford on a full-time basis, working 08:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday. This temporary assignment runs until 9th October 2026, with possible extension, paying £13.85 hourly. The successful candidate will clean student accommodation, covering bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, meeting rooms and toilets, ensuring every area meets required standards promptly. Duties include attending training, complying with safety rules for materials, equipment and premises, maintaining high personal appearance, and reporting complaints, accidents, fire, theft, loss or damage. Applicants should demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a conscientious approach to hygiene and tidiness within a residential setting.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper to join a client based in Oxford!
Shift: 08:00 - 16:00, Mon to Fri
Assignment length – up until the 9th Oct 2026 (with possible extension)
The main duties for this Housekeeper role will include:

To ensure that all areas of student accommodation (including rooms, hallways, kitchen, meeting rooms, toilets) are cleaned efficiently and promptly to the standards
To attend any training as necessary to complete your job tasks effectively
To comply with all safety regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings
To maintain high personal standards of performance, personal hygiene and appearance.
To report any complaints and incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage or other irregularities and take action if practicable.
To communicate effectively with colleagues at all times.
To perform any reasonable task as requested by management or the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Required skills for a successful Housekeeper:
-Housekeeping/Cleaning experience is mandatory
- Good attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
- To be reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work
