Job Title: Housekeeper / Maintenance Support OperativeLocation: LeedsHours: 20 hours per week, Monday to FridayPay: 12.71 per hourContract: Temporary, 3 months, with potential for extension or permanent role We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper / Maintenance Operative to support a 407-bed student accommodation site in Leeds.This role is primarily focused on housekeeping duties, ensuring all communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You will also provide occasional support to the site Caretaker with basic maintenance tasks. Housekeeping Duties:Cleaning and maintaining communal areas within a large student accommodation siteCleaning bathrooms, kitchens, shared living spaces, gym, and cinema roomMaintaining cleanliness of roof terraces and other shared areasEnsuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentationReporting any maintenance or health and safety issues promptly Assisting the Caretaker with basic maintenance tasks, including: Painting and touch-up workChanging spotlights and light fittingsUnblocking drainsGeneral site upkeep and minor repairs Experience:Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities work desirablePractical, hands-on approach to tasksBasic DIY or maintenance skills an advantageAble to work independently and manage workloadReliable, punctual, and detail-focusedComfortable working in a busy student accommodation ..... full job details .....
