Hostel Caretaker

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Hostel Caretaker.-This is a key role involving day-to-day caretaking and maintenance duties at temporary accommodation and hostels managed by the Council.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out basic cleaning-maintenance

• Performing regular building checks and ensuring cleanliness and safety

• Ensuring security of the premises

• Reporting any major faults or health and safety issues

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months or registered on the DBS Update Service

• Previous experience as a caretaker, ideally within residential or hostel settings

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

• Good knowledge of general building maintenance
