We are looking for an experienced Home Manager to lead an established nursing and residential care service in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse-qualified manager to take responsibility for the overall leadership and day-to-day operation of a well-established service with a strong reputation for quality.

The service is currently performing well, with strong occupancy and a positive CQC history, and the organisation is looking for a confident and visible leader who can build on this success while developing a strong and positive team culture.

A key focus of the role will be people management. We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading teams, having difficult conversations, managing performance and creating an environment where staff feel supported, valued and accountable.

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the service
• Provide visible, approachable and effective leadership to the staff team
• Lead, motivate and develop colleagues to deliver consistently high standards of care
• Manage staff performance, attendance, conduct and development effectively
• Build strong working relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues
• Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and person-centred support
• Ensure compliance with CQC requirements and relevant legislation
• Maintain effective governance, audits, policies and quality assurance processes
• Monitor and support occupancy and the overall performance of the service
• Manage staffing levels, rotas and resources effectively
• Work closely with senior and regional management to deliver organisational objectives
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the service
• Respond confidently to challenges and ensure issues are addressed promptly
• Maintain a positive culture where communication, accountability and teamwork are prioritised

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with strong leadership experience within nursing, residential or elderly care.

You may currently be working as a:

• Home Manager
• Registered Manager
• Nursing Home Manager
• Clinical Manager

You will ideally have experience managing a regulated care service and a strong understanding of CQC, governance, safeguarding and quality standards.

Most importantly, you will be a confident people leader who is comfortable managing teams, addressing performance issues and communicating effectively at all levels.

You should be:

• A qualified RGN or RMN
• Experienced within nursing or residential care
• Confident leading and managing teams
• Comfortable managing performance and difficult conversations
• A strong and clear communicator
• Approachable, visible and hands-on
• Commercially and operationally aware
• Experienced working within a CQC-regulated environment
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care

• Salary up to -60,000 per annum
• 28 days'' annual leave including bank holidays
