Some found it tougher than they expected, and some didn''t give it the time it deserved. So this isn''t one for the faint-hearted, and it isn''t one for anyone looking for an easy ride or a stepping stone.

The improvement plan is complete, the group is investing, and the home is preparing to register for nursing: around 40 residents today, heading towards 50 beds, with a team of about 50 who want someone to believe in them.

What it needs now is continuity. A manager who will put an arm around the place, stay the course and not turn their back when it gets hard. If that''s you, you won''t be a name on a rota here. You''ll be noticed and highly regarded in a family group that remembers who stood by them.

You''ll bring:

• 5 to 10 years in care management, including as a CQC Registered Manager.
• A genuine track record of stabilising homes and teams.
• A Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
• A nursing background is welcome but not essential, as a Clinical Lead is joining alongside you.
• Resilience, warmth and staying power.
