Bright Selection are delighted to be supporting an expanding care home provider in the appointment of a Home Manager for a purpose-built residential and dementia care home in York.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-quality, newer service with a strong reputation and play a key role in its ongoing development. The home offers an excellent environment and is now seeking a commercially aware leader to drive occupancy, team performance and overall standards ahead of its first CQC inspection.

This role would suit an experienced Home Manager with experience leading a large team and home.

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing a Good rated care homes
• Positive and engaging leadership style
• L5 / L4 Management or equivalent qualification
• Proven ability in budget preparation and control
• Excellent knowledge of CQC legislation

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the operational, financial and quality performance of the home
• Prepare the service for its first CQC inspection and maintain compliance standards
• Lead, develop and retain a high-performing team
• Ensure effective quality assurance and governance systems are in place
• Manage budgets and deliver against financial targets
• Take a proactive approach to complaints and continuous improvement
• Support occupancy through local networking, relationship building and enquiry management
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and external stakeholders
