HOME CARER/CARE ASSISANT/SUPPORT WORKER

To provide compassionate, person-centered care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. Duties include personal care, assistance with daily living tasks, emotional support, and companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.

Medication Support: Prompting or administering medication as prescribed.

Meal Preparation: Support with preparing meals, feeding, and encouraging a healthy diet.

Mobility Assistance: Help with moving and handling, including the use of mobility aids.

Household Tasks: Support with light domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

Companionship: Offer emotional support and social interaction to reduce isolation.

Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and report any changes in the individual’s health or wellbeing.

Promoting Independence: Encourage clients to do as much as they can safely.
