You will work within a small, supportive unit of just 6 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity with an immediate start, offering the chance to make a real difference in a calm, nurturing environment. The Role As HLTA you will: Support high-quality teaching and learning within a small SEMH unit of 6 students Deliver targeted interventions and small-group or 1:1 support under the direction of the class teacher Help create a calm, consistent and predictable environment that supports emotional regulation and engagement Build positive, trusting relationships with students who may present with complex SEMH needs Assist with behaviour support, de-escalation and the implementation of individual support plans Contribute to planning, assessment and the recording of progress Support the wider running of the unit, including transitions, routines and personal care where required Work collaboratively ...
