Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Liverpool. This is a full-time position offering the chance to make a real difference to pupils'' learning, development, and wellbeing every day.

You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, support individual pupils, and lead small group or whole-class sessions when required. This is a varied and rewarding role in a school that values every member of its team.

This role is open to HLTA''s, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), experienced teachers looking for a different role and experienced Education Professionals. Whether you are newly qualified and looking to build classroom experience in a supportive environment, or a seasoned professional seeking a new challenge or change of pace within a primary setting, we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

• Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
• Lead small group interventions and whole-class sessions in the teacher''s absence
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist in assessing pupil progress and contributing to reporting
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
• Uphold the school''s safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times

What we''re looking for

• HLTA status or a teaching qualification (ECTs welcome to apply)
• Experience working with primary-aged children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for education
• An up-to-date DBS or willingness to obtain one
