About the Role

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in the HP20 area of Aylesbury, seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2025. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support pupils across the school and deliver high-quality learning in the absence of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2

• 
  

  Support individuals and small groups to access learning effectively

• 
  

  Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt lessons for varying needs

• 
  

  Provide pastoral care and manage classroom behaviour positively

• 
  

  Contribute to maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

• 
  

  HLTA qualification or equivalent classroom experience

• 
  

  Proven experience in a primary school setting

• 
  

  Strong communication skills and effective classroom management

• 
  

  Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress

• 
  

  A genuine passion for education and child development
