We are recruiting on behalf of secondary schools across Durham seeking dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support students across KS3, KS4 and KS5 settings. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning, delivering interventions and helping students achieve their full potential. About the role:Supporting students aged 11-19 across KS3, KS4 and KS5.Leading lessons and supervising classes in the absence of the teacher when required.Delivering targeted interventions to individuals and small groups of students.Supporting students with additional learning needs and barriers to education.Working closely with teaching staff to plan and implement learning activities.Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and school leaders.Promoting a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.Pay, Hours and Contract:Pay: 17 - 19 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to FridayContract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanentStart Date: September 2026Location: DurhamExperience, Qualifications and Requirements:Previous experience working within a secondary school setting.HLTA qualification or equivalent educational support qualification is desirable.Experience ..... full job details .....
