The successful candidate will deliver literacy and intervention lessons to pupils in years 7 to 11, identified as needing to improve their literacy skills. This role involves working with small groups to whole classes and assisting teachers in their classes.Day-to-day of the role:Schedule and teach a range of literacy intervention programmes to pupils in either small groups or whole classes.Organise reading tests to check the progress of pupils.Teach English intervention lessons to selected KS3 students to enhance their reading and comprehension skills.Assist teachers in KS4 classes where pupils'' literacy levels are a barrier to progress.Adapt published literacy teaching resources to meet the needs of specific pupils or groups.Assist in planning KS3 resources/intervention resources.Provide feedback to pupils on their progress in accordance with Academy policies and practices.Carry out assessments and prepare reports on the progress of pupils on literacy programmes or to assist classroom teachers.Keep appropriate records on pupils.Provide after-school intervention lessons to KS4 pupils alongside the Academy''s intervention timetable.Apply AI tools and automation where appropriate, to improve service delivery and operational ..... full job details .....
