Full-Time HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Location: Secondary Schools – Derby

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join secondary schools across Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong classroom skills who is passionate about supporting students and making a difference to their learning experience.

• Delivering lessons to classes in the absence of the teacher, following set lesson plans
• Supporting teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom management
• Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support
• Assisting with the assessment and tracking of student progress
• Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment
• Supporting the wider school community as required

• HLTA status (or equivalent experience working as an experienced Teaching Assistant at a higher level)
• Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in secondary schools
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
