Job Description:
- Plan and deliverandnbsp;engaging,andnbsp;thought-provokingandnbsp;lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5
- Promote aandnbsp;stimulatingandnbsp;andandnbsp;inclusiveandnbsp;classroom environment that encouragesandnbsp;debate,andnbsp;analysis, andandnbsp;historical enquiry
- Use a variety ofandnbsp;assessment strategiesandnbsp;to monitor progress and inform planning
- Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and participate inandnbsp;cross-curricular initiatives
- Support students inandnbsp;GCSE preparation,andnbsp;coursework, andandnbsp;enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience teaching History at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
- Be aandnbsp;subject specialistandnbsp;with a strong grasp of British and world history, and a passion forandnbsp;storytellingandnbsp;andandnbsp;contextual learning
- Demonstrateandnbsp;excellent classroom management,andnbsp;organisation, andandnbsp;communication skills
- Be committed toandnbsp;inclusive education,andnbsp;student wellbeing, andandnbsp;safeguarding
- Be enthusiastic aboutandnbsp;continuous professional developmentandnbsp;andandnbsp;team collaboration
