Overview
A well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a passionate and experienced History Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds and contribute to a dynamic and supportive teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and national expectations

• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and a love of historical enquiry

• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities

• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment

• Collaborate with colleagues to drive departmental and whole-school initiatives

Person Specification
Essential:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching History at secondary level

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A commitment to high standards and student achievement

Desirable:

• Familiarity with exam board specifications and assessments

• Willingness to participate in CPD and continuous improvement

• Involvement in extracurricular or enrichment activities related to History
