History Teacher

A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required for a temporary full-time position at an Outstanding girls' school in Haringey, commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with a fascination for the past and a critical understanding of historical events.

Responsibilities

• They will plan, prepare, and deliver captivating History lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• The role involves effectively teaching historical concepts and interpretations, adhering to the school's curriculum.
• They will foster a dynamic learning environment that encourages historical inquiry and analysis.
• Assessment and monitoring of student progress in History, along with providing feedback, will be required.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History is essential.
• Experience teaching History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
• A solid understanding of British and world history is expected.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
