History Teacher

We're actively seeking a fantastic permanent, full-time teacher to join our Outstanding mixed school in Harrow this September. What you'll be doing:

• You'll be designing and delivering engaging History lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, covering diverse periods and developing students' analytical and evaluative skills.
• It's all about expertly guiding students through significant events, figures, and historical debates, fostering a deep understanding of cause and consequence.
• You'll cultivate a dynamic and interactive classroom where students feel empowered to explore primary sources, debate interpretations, and think critically about the past.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a solid specialism in History.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
• A deep and current understanding of historical concepts and pedagogical approaches to inspire a love of the subject.
• Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a real ability to make history relevant and exciting.
