History Teacher

We are partnering with an Outstanding boys' school in Camden that is seeking a fantastic permanent, full-time History Teacher to join their Humanities department this September. This is a brilliant opportunity to spark an interest in historical inquiry and help students understand the world around them across Key Stages 3 and 4, with exciting potential for Key Stage 5.
What you'll be doing:
- You'll be designing and delivering engaging History lessons, covering a wide range of periods and topics, tailored for boys.
- It's about encouraging critical thinking, source analysis, and a deep understanding of historical contexts and interpretations.
- You'll create a stimulating and interactive classroom where students feel empowered to ask questions, debate ideas, and develop their own historical perspectives.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in History.
- Experience teaching engaging and effective History lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 for boys is highly desirable.
- A broad and current understanding of the History curriculum and effective pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a genuine passion for making history relevant and exciting.
