You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Hire Desk and Transport function within the depot. You will lead, motivate, and develop a team of Hire & Sales Co-ordinators and Drivers, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations while driving revenue growth and maintaining high standards of compliance and administration. Your duties will include: - Leading and managing the day-to-day operation of the Hire Desk and Transport function. - Allocating, prioritising, and monitoring workloads for Hire & Sales Co-ordinators and Drivers. - Recruiting, motivating, coaching, and developing team members. - Ensuring adequate staffing cover, including managing holidays, absence, and weekend attendance. - Overseeing stock control of consumables and resale items, ensuring availability and re-ordering where required. - Monitoring transport performance to ensure deliveries and collections meet agreed customer timescales. - Maintaining high standards of hire desk administration, minimising manual paperwork and ensuring system accuracy.
