Hire Desk ControllerSalary: From 46,080 + per year, depending on experienceHours: 6:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to FridaySaturdays: 6:00am - 1:00pm, two Saturdays per monthJob Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the RoleA busy and growing tool and plant hire business is seeking an experienced Hire Desk Controller to join its team and play a key role in keeping customers, equipment and daily operations running smoothly.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hire desk, handling customer enquiries, coordinating deliveries and collections, and working closely with the workshop and wider team to ensure a reliable and efficient service.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hire desk professional who understands the tool and plant hire industry, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a high level of customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Hire Desk Controller will take ownership of the hire desk and ensure each hire is managed efficiently from initial enquiry through to off-hire.Key responsibilities will include:Handling hire enquiries and orders by phone, email, WhatsApp and face to facePreparing hire contracts and associated paperworkCoordinating deliveries and collections with driversLiaising with the workshop to ensure equipment is prepared and ready on timeManaging off-hires, stock transfers and purchase ordersMaximising hire and consumable salesMaintaining strong fleet availability and utilisationBuilding and ..... full job details .....
