Hire Controller - Plant Hire Ascot (SL5) and Milford (GU8)Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm (45 hours per week) We are currently recruiting for a Hire Controller to support operations across two busy plant hire depots in Ascot and Milford. This is a fast-paced and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing customer service with logistics and operational coordination. The RoleAs Hire Controller, you will be at the centre of depot operations, ensuring the smooth coordination of hire orders, transport, and customer communication. Key responsibilities includeManaging customer enquiries in person, over the phone, and via emailProcessing hire orders and sales for tools and plant equipmentProviding product advice and building strong customer relationshipsCoordinating daily driver schedules to meet customer requirements efficientlySupporting transport planning, including deliveries and collectionsAssisting with deliveries during peak periods when requiredMonitoring driver performance, timekeeping, and holiday schedulesEnsuring all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and MOT compliantMaintaining accurate records and supporting KPI performanceEnsuring the depot is clean, organised, and operating safelySupporting stock control and merchandising of sales goodsParticipating in promotional activities and depot initiatives About YouWe are looking for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a busy hire environment.
