NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading plant and tool hire company seeking a Hire Desk Controller for their Reading depot. This role is key to supporting the company’s growth, managing hire operations, and delivering top-tier customer service to strengthen market presence.

The Job:
As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll manage the hire desk, oversee contracts and logistics, and work with customers and internal teams to ensure efficient operations and excellent service delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage depot hire operations to meet service standards professionally.

• Monitor local hire fleet stock and optimize supply with internal teams.

• Handle new hire contracts, off-hires, and general enquiries.

• Support logistics for efficient transport operations.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive sales growth.

What You Need:

• Proven experience in hire operations or a similar role.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to build client relationships and work independently.

• Negotiation and time management skills.

• Knowledge of construction or plant/tool hire industry (desirable).
