Highways Supervisor - Ipswich

-250 per day CIS | Immediate Start | 3-Month Contract + Extension
We are currently seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor for an immediate interview and start on a 3-month contract basis, with strong potential for extension based on performance.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy highways team delivering reactive maintenance and repair works across the Ipswich area.

Role Details

• Location: Ipswich
• Rate: -250 per day (CIS)
• Contract Length: 3 months initial, with extension potential
• Start Date: ASAP
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day reactive highways repair and maintenance works
• Managing and coordinating site operatives, subcontractors, and gangs
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme
• Monitoring productivity, quality, and health & safety compliance on site
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, and internal delivery teams
• Conducting site inspections, briefings, and toolbox talks
• Managing workforce performance and driving high standards across teams
• Ensuring all works comply with highways and street works regulations

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Highways Supervisor
• Strong background in reactive highways repairs / maintenance
• Proven people management and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and site teams effectively
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Essential Qualifications

• SSSTS
• CSCS Card

Desirable

• NRSWA
• Previous local authority / highways maintenance experience
