Job Title: Site Engineer - Highways
Location: Midlands
Salary: Up to £50,000 + benefits
Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Highways Site Engineer to support the delivery of works on a highways framework across the Midlands region. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career development within a well-established contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
·Setting out for highways works in line with design and project specifications.
·Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager in the day-to-day running of sites.
·Ensuring works are carried out safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
·Managing site documentation, including ITPs, check sheets, and as-built records.
·Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and the client to ensure smooth delivery.
·Supporting the preparation of progress reports and maintaining accurate records.
Key Requirements:
·Previous experience working on National Highways schemes is highly desirable.
·Proven setting out experience on civil engineering or highways projects.
·Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification) is preferred.
·CSCS Black or Gold card is essential.
·SMSTS or SSSTS certification is required.
·Strong knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in highways construction.
·Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Package:
·Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience.
