Quantity Surveyor - Highways and Civil Engineering Location: Bury St Edmunds, covering Area 6 and 8 Salary: Up to £55,000, dependent on experience Contract: Full Time, Permanent Build your commercial career on major highways projects Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to take greater ownership of the commercial performance of highways and civil engineering projects? My client is looking for a proactive Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of highway maintenance and infrastructure schemes across Area 6 and 8. You will be joining an established highways business where you will have the opportunity to work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients while developing your experience across cost control, NEC contract administration, forecasting and commercial risk management. What you will be doing As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual performance of projects from cost planning through to final account. You will be: Carrying out monthly cost and value reconciliations and monitoring project financial performance. Assessing and submitting quotations and compensation events.
