Highways Quality Engineer

A great opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to step into a senior role on one of the UK''s flagship infrastructure programmes on a freelance basis. You''ll be working across multiple sites, ensuring works meet the highest technical and regulatory standards. This is a chance to take ownership of quality processes on complex civil engineering schemes, while supporting and developing project teams.

Key Responsibilities

·Lead quality assurance activities across a range of project packages
·Prepare, review, and maintain Inspection & Test Plans
·Ensure works meet design, technical, and regulatory standards
·Compile and manage records required for project handover
·Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced engineers
·Act as the main point of contact for quality discussions with stakeholders
·Promote best practice and drive improvements to existing processes

About You

·Background in civil engineering (HND/Degree desirable)
·Solid track record of working on large-scale infrastructure schemes
·Strong understanding of quality standards and assurance within construction
·Experience with highways, structures, or earthworks is an advantage
·Confident communicator, able to work effectively with multiple parties
·CSCS card holder with the right to work in the UK
