Highways Operative

We Are Zenith are looking for experienced-Highways Operatives on behalf of our-client based in Gateshead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out a variety of highways maintenance and construction works.
• Tarmac surfacing and reinstatement works.
• Kerb installation and repairs.
• Footpath and pavement repairs.
• Flagstone laying, replacement and maintenance.
• Operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience in all aspects of highways work.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ride-on Roller qualification/certification.
• Abrasive Wheels qualification.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.

Desirable Requirements:

• HGV Licence, as driving HGV vehicles may form part of the role.
