Inside IR35 - 6 Month Contract Job Purpose To undertake statutory and risk-based highway safety inspections and associated activities to ensure the highway network remains safe, serviceable, and compliant with relevant legislation. The role also provides a proactive customer engagement function, acting as a key interface between the service, stakeholders, and the public. The post supports the Council''s ability to defend third-party claims through accurate inspection records and timely defect identification and resolution. Key Responsibilities 1. Highway Safety Inspections Undertake planned, cyclical, and ad hoc road safety inspections of the highway network, including carriageways, footways, and associated assets. Identify, risk assess, and categorise defects in accordance with policy and national codes of practice. Raise works orders and ensure defects are progressed within agreed timescales.
