Highways General Foreman

Your new company A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a General Foreman to support the delivery of a major highways infrastructure project in Milton Keynes. This is a long-term contract opportunity on a significant scheme with works due to commence shortly.Your new role As General Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising site operations and coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.Key responsibilities include:Managing site operatives and subcontractors on a daily basisCoordinating labour, plant and materialsSupporting the delivery team with short-term planning of worksEnsuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintainedMonitoring productivity and progress on siteCarrying out site briefings and toolbox talksLiaising with engineers, supervisors and site managementSupporting the successful delivery of highways and civil engineering worksWhat you''ll need to succeed Previous experience as a General Foreman within civil engineering or highways projectsStrong understanding of site operations and construction methodologiesExperience supervising labour and subcontractorsKnowledge of health, safety and quality requirementsSSSTS or SMSTS certificationCSCS cardWhat you need to do now If you''re interested in this role, click ''apply now'' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn''t quite right for you, but you are looking for a ..... full job details .....
