Highways Engineer

I'm reaching out to see if you’re open to supporting Local Authorities with upcoming requirements across Traffic, Road Safety, and Highway Design.

There’s been a steady rise in needs for engineers who can support:

• Traffic Engineering – small scheme design, lining/signing, junction layouts, TROs, modelling input.
• Road Safety – collision analysis, road safety audits, improvement schemes, speed management.
• Highway Design – feasibility work, detailed design, CAD/Civil 3D layouts, active travel schemes.

Most of these roles involve helping councils deliver ongoing programmes of safety improvements, network optimisation, capital works, and policy-led transport projects. Work often covers a mix of urban and rural environments depending on the council’s network.
