Highways Consents Lead

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Designer in identifying all highway consents needed as part of the design of the works within the scope.
- Ensure highway consents comply with any relevant U&As, gathering and reporting information to prove compliance.
- Manage and monitor the status of all highways consents through their lifecycle, ensuring roles and responsibilities are correctly allocated.
- Review design submissions content and provide feedback based on technical requirements and CGB expectations.
- Liaise with Highway Authorities, Third Parties, and HS2 during the consents process, managing and chairing pre-application discussions.
- Notify HS2 of potential disputes or unreasonable actions that could delay the consent process.
- Make all Highways Consents submissions to the CGBs, including the discharge of conditions and recording responses and approvals.
- Update all Highways Consents information within the smartCONNECT system, including documentation references, progress commentary, and forecast dates.
Job Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree (BSc)
- Highways experience, including drainage and consents
- Experience in leading complex teams, subcontractors, or consultants
- Experience working in large infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of NEC3 Contracts
- Relevant CSCS certification (White; White/Yellow; Red - Experienced; Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor)
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
