The postholder will ensure works are completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, health and safety requirements, and programme targets whilst minimising disruption to the public. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day highway maintenance and resurfacing works, including carriageway and footway resurfacing programmes. Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, productivity and compliance with contract requirements. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, Local Authority standards, specifications and health and safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are achieved. Review and approve traffic management arrangements, ensuring appropriate signing, guarding and protection measures are in place. Liaise with contractors, utility companies, residents, businesses and other stakeholders regarding planned and ongoing works.
