Highway Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess existing road conditions and determine necessary maintenance regimes
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance works, ensuring timely completion of tasks
- Develop maintenance plans and drawings using CAD software
- Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to implement effective maintenance strategies
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety standards and regulations
- Monitor and evaluate completed work to ensure it meets required standards
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in highway maintenance engineering, particularly within local authority schemes
- Expertise in creating and interpreting CAD drawings for maintenance projects
- Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and develop appropriate maintenance plans
- Strong understanding of highway maintenance principles and practices
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions on-site
- Full-time availability with no option for remote working
- Residency in or around the East Riding area for easy accessibility to sites
Contract Details:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Initial contract term of 3-4 months with potential for ongoing extension
- Outside IR35
