This role requires a full-time presence in the designated area during weekdays, ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory obligations in highway inspection, assessment, and maintenance.Key Responsibilities:Inspect, assess, and prioritise reactive maintenance works on the highway to ensure user safety.Conduct systematic regimes of inspection, assessment, and maintenance in accordance with the Highways Act 1980.Order necessary works to maintain the highway network in a safe condition.Ensure compliance with legislation, policy, codes of practice, procedures, and standards.Maintain accurate records and documentation for liability management and future reference.Assist with processing third-party insurance claims and provide necessary records and evidence.Establish effective working relationships with client officers, elected members, the general public, and other stakeholders.Investigate stakeholder enquiries within prescribed timescales and provide potential solutions to problems.Job Requirements:Experience in highway inspection and maintenance.Strong understanding of the High...
