Highway Design Engineer - Outside IR35

Our client is seeking two Highway Design Engineers to join its Highways Engineering Services team in Winchester on a contract basis. The role will support the design and delivery of small to medium highway improvement and active travel schemes, with opportunities to assist major schemes when required.Key Responsibilities:Designing highway improvement and active travel schemes using AutoCAD and Civils 3DSupporting the project management, procurement and implementation of capital programme schemesPreparing drawings, technical documents and design information for highways and civil engineering projectsContributing to the delivery of small to medium highways schemes from concept through to implementationWorking collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, consultants and other stakeholdersProviding engineering support to major highway schemes when requiredEnsuring designs comply with relevant highway standards, regulations and best practiceMaintaining accurate project records and contributing to reports and technical assessmentsJob Requirements:Experience in highway design or highways and civil engineeringGood working knowledge of highway engineering principles and design processesProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office 365Good working knowledge or practical experience using Civils 3DUnderstanding of active travel schemes and highway improvement projectsStrong communication, organisation and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage tasks effectively and work ..... full job details .....
